Felix D. Arroyo and Ricardo Arroyo Endorse Gabriela Coletta

BOSTON - Today, Gabriela Coletta, candidate for Boston City Councilor District 1 was endorsed by Suffolk County Register of Probate and former City Councilor, Felix D. Arroyo and District 5 City Councilor Ricardo Arroyo. 


Felix D. Arroyo served as Boston City Councilor at large from 2003-2007 and in 2014 was elected Suffolk County’s Register of Probate where has served since. Prior to this he was the President of the Boston School Committee. 


"I am proud to endorse Gabriela Coletta as the next City Councilor for District 1,” said Arroyo.  “I have known Gabriella for many years and I know that she will work hard everyday for the residents of District 1 and will be a voice for justice and equity on the Boston City Council. I ask that you join me in supporting Gabriella 'Gigi' Coletta for Boston City Council District 1."


His son, Ricardo Arroyo, is the current Boston City Councilor representing District 5, who was first elected in 2019. Before joining City Hall, he worked as a Public Defender at the Committee for Public Counsel Services. 


“I have had the privilege of seeing Gabriela Coletta leadership and work ethic up close. She has the experience and the values to be an excellent Boston City Councilor,” Arroyo said. “She has worked diligently on advancing equity in all of its forms and will be a champion for the residents of Charlestown, East Boston, and the North End. I am thrilled to endorse her for the District 1 seat."


Felix D. Arroyo and Ricardo Arroyo are amongst the first of many community leaders to endorse Gabriela Coletta for Boston City Council District 1.
